As a patient, you know that your doctors are being asked to do more in less time than ever before. People became doctors to help those who are ill get well. However, as healthcare has grown more complex and less personal over the past decade or so, it is increasingly easy to lose sight of the fact that helping people get well is what doctors have been educated to do. Your doctors are especially frustrated that so many obstacles interfere with this central mission. DocPatient Network was developed by doctors and patients who want to make things better, and they see the Internet as an effective tool for doing so.

The DocPatient Network aims to restore the personal relationship between doctors and patients that was common in simpler times, while expanding and liberating consumer access to healthcare by using the Internet to connect doctors and patients through secure electronic communications, both text and video. The DocPatient Network is dedicated to patients who want to use the Internet to securely share a single, complete set of information, or medical record, with their doctors, to be able to keep their own copy of their doctors reports online, to send email or video/audio messages to their doctors with questions or problems, and to schedule or change appointments.
